В логе после выполнения что? И сколько контроллеров в исходном домене?

конечно
сначала /forestprep
потом /domainprep

но потом всё равно не хочет ставить AD 2003, ссылаясь на то что лес и домен не готовы. 2-й день бьюсь с этим и безрезультатно

В домене 1 контроллер всего.
В логе:

Много строк Adprep copied file <....>

затем

Log on to the schema master dc1.trpg.ru for this forest, run the following command from the installation media to complete the forest update first:

adprep.exe /forestprep

and then rerun adprep.exe /domainprep on infrastructure master again.
